The first trailer for the upcoming documentary about Elton John’s career which will be available on Disney+ has been revealed; you can see it below. The trailer, which covers Elton John’s stratospheric climb to success, the dark periods in his life, his problems with drug addiction, and the path back to recovery, was presented by John last night to the public. I was experiencing a sense of emptiness within myself at that time. My spirit had become dark, and I had also become dark. Being in my presence was not a pleasant experience. According to what he states in the trailer, “I didn’t have anything other than my success and my drugs.”

As the musician prepares for his final North American stadium event, which will take place at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles in November 2022 and will also be livestreamed on Disney+, Elton John: Never Too Late follows him as he reflects on his life and his fifty-year career.

Below you will find the trailer for the film Elton John: Never Too Late.

The launch of Elton John: Never Too Late is scheduled to take place on Disney+ from December 13 all around the world. According to reports, the movie would “pull back the curtain” on Elton’s life by including “never-before-seen concert footage of him over the past 50 years, as well as hand-written journals and present-day footage of him and his family with his family.”

Over $900 million (£708 million) in gross ticket sales was earned by Elton’s Farewell Yellow Brick Road Tour, which began in 2018 and ultimately came to a close in Stockholm in July of the previous year. The Eras Tour by Taylor Swift and the Music of the Spheres Tour by Coldplay have subsequently surpassed it into the position of best grossing tour of all time. At the time of its conclusion, it was the highest grossing tour of all time.

During John’s last performance in Stockholm, he addressed the audience and said, “Fifty years of sheer joy on stage playing music… how fortunate am I? This is not where I would be sitting… It was not on your behalf. You purchased the singles, the CDs, the albums, the cassettes, and most importantly, you purchased the tickets to the shows that were being held with the band. You are aware of how much that I enjoy performing live. I have been playing for you guys for as long as I can remember. You’ve been simply outstanding in every way.”

It should be noted that John has not yet completed the release of his new music. Bernie Taupin, John’s friend and co-writer, disclosed in May that the 32nd studio album that John has been working on is “completely finished and recorded.” In recent weeks, John has also celebrated 34 years of sobriety. He has shared a picture of his Alcoholics Anonymous coin on the internet, and he has also stated that “my life has never been better.”
