Joy Crookes Announces New Album Juniper and 2025 U.K. Tour, With Features from Vince Staples and Kano

Joy Crookes is back and ready to make waves with her highly anticipated sophomore album Juniper, set to arrive on September 26. Alongside the album announcement, the London-born singer-songwriter has also revealed a headline tour across the U.K. and Ireland later this year.

Juniper marks Crookes’ first full-length release since her critically acclaimed 2021 debut Skin, which peaked at No. 5 on the U.K.’s Official Albums Chart. That album launched her into the spotlight and earned her nominations at the BRIT Awards for Best New Artist and Best Pop/R&B Act, as well as a 2022 Mercury Prize nod — placing her firmly among the U.K.’s most exciting voices in modern soul and pop.

In the lead-up to Juniper, Crookes has been steadily building anticipation by releasing a series of standout singles in 2025. These include “Pass the Salt,” which features West Coast rap icon Vince Staples, the jazz-meets-grime fusion “Mathematics” with British legend Kano, and the moody, cinematic “I Knew You’d Kill.” Most recently, she dropped “Carmen” on May 23 — a sultry, introspective track that gives fans another taste of the album’s emotional depth.

Speaking about the new project, Crookes revealed that Juniper was born out of a challenging period in her life, particularly around her mental health. “I was in the trenches,” she shared. “But the studio became my solace. What you hear is live and direct from that time.” Her vulnerability promises a record that’s raw, honest, and full of the poetic storytelling that has become her signature.

Alongside the album, Joy will embark on a headline tour this autumn, with dates across the U.K. and Ireland. It’s a long-awaited return to the stage for fans who have watched her grow from a rising talent into a powerful voice in British music.

With Juniper, Joy Crookes isn’t just following up a strong debut — she’s stepping into a new era of artistry, marked by honesty, experimentation, and emotional bravery. With features from Vince Staples and Kano, and a deep personal core, Juniper is shaping up to be one of the most compelling releases of the year.

Following the announcement of her upcoming sophomore album Juniper, Joy Crookes kept the momentum going over the U.K.’s Bank Holiday weekend with a string of exciting appearances. On Thursday, May 22, the 26-year-old singer stunned fans with a surprise pop-up performance at London’s People’s Park Tavern, drawing an intimate crowd for an up-close look at her soulful new material.

But she didn’t stop there — Joy also took the stage at BBC Radio 1’s Big Weekend in Liverpool, marking one of her biggest festival appearances of the year so far. And the festival run continues: next month, she’ll return to Glastonbury Festival, following her acclaimed 2022 debut on the legendary Pyramid Stage.

To top it all off, Crookes has unveiled a full slate of U.K. and European tour dates in support of Juniper, set to kick off this November. The tour begins in Dublin, Ireland, and continues through major cities across the U.K., including headline shows at Manchester Academy and London’s iconic O2 Academy Brixton. From there, she’ll cross into mainland Europe with performances in Brussels, Amsterdam, Berlin, Paris, and more, before wrapping up in Oslo, Norway in early December.
