The band Metallica has announced that they would be replacing Five Finger Death Punch for their final M72 show

The final show of Metallica’s M72 World Tour will take place in Mexico City on September 29, 2024, marking the conclusion of the 2024 leg of the tour. On the other hand, the gig will go on without Five Finger Death Punch, who were forced to withdraw from the performance because Ivan Moody sustained an injury during their most recent festival performance.

On Instagram, the band made the announcement, writing, “Ivan Moody fell and broke his rib during the song ‘IOU’ at the Louder Than Life festival this past Thursday. Despite the fall, Ivan was able to finish the set.” The rain was pouring down at the time. It is because of this that we will not be able to do the show that Metallica is scheduled to perform in Mexico City tomorrow night.

“We would like to express our sincere apologies to the fans in Mexico City for any inconvenience that may have been caused,” the statement continued. “We would also like to thank Metallica for giving us the opportunity to embark on this incredible journey over the past two years.” In the hopes that our brother, Ivan, would make a rapid recovery. Metallica disclosed in a second post that the Mexican heavy metal band Agora will be filling in for Five Finger Death Punch during the final performance of the tour.

We will be doing our final gig in Mexico City tomorrow, which will mark the conclusion of this wonderful second year on the M72 Tour. As a result of an injury, Five Finger Death Punch, who have been our tourmates for the past two years, will not be present,” the band that is known for their song “Nothing Else Matters” revealed on their Instagram account. We are deeply saddened to learn of Ivan’s accident, and we are sending him a lot of love and positive energy in the hopes that he will make a rapid recovery.

Agora, who are no strangers to the local and worldwide festival circuit, will be joining us instead. They have performed alongside a variety of bands, including Guns N’ Roses, Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, Def Leppard, and KISS, to name just a few. Tomorrow at 6:30 p.m., we are looking forward to seeing them perform for the first time on the circular stage. They have more than twenty years of experience in the recording and touring industries.

“Just prior to our performance, our good friends Ice Nine Kills will come on stage. An enormous thank you to Agora for taking the initiative,” they continued. Metallica’s most recent album, titled “72 Seasons,” will be promoted by the M72 World Tour, which will continue with a new leg in the United States in April of 2025. Pantera, Suicidal Tendencies, Limp Bizkit, and Ice Nine Kills are going to be among the bands that will be performing as support throughout the subsequent run.
