The next Megadeth album will be recorded with Dave Mustaine entering the studio
Dave Mustaine, the lead singer of Megadeth, has entered the studio to begin the process of composing and recording the band’s upcoming album. The information was published on Reddit by a fan, who stated that Mustaine had disclosed his plans to members of the Cyber Army fan group.
According to the statement that was reportedly sent out, the vocalist stated that he would be “moving to the studio alongside producer Chris Rakestraw for the next six months in order to produce and record the new album.” It was also stated in the post that other members were “sending song ideas from home” before they “all reunited in the studio later on.”
A number of months ago, Megadeth began the process of creating their sixth studio album. Teemu Mantysaari, a new guitarist, affirmed the possibility of the album’s release in 2025 during a conversation that took place in August. He said, “Yeah, that’s actually the plan.” At this exact moment, everyone is compiling their own ideas for riffs, and at some point in the future, we are going to put them all together and most likely record ourselves in Nashville. In addition, the next album is scheduled to be completed the following year.
In addition to that, the guitarist suggested that the future record might have a ‘Rust In Peace’ vibe to it. During the ‘Crush The World’ tour that Megadeth was holding in 2023, Mantysaari joined the band as a replacement for Kiko Loureiro, who had taken a hiatus in order to spend more time with his family. Not long after that, Mustaine expressed the band’s desire to continue working on three more albums, with the intention of releasing each one every one to three years.
The band’s most recent album, titled “The Sick, the Dying… And the Dead!,” was released in 2022. It was a follow-up to the album “Dystopia,” which was released in 2016. In both albums, Rakestraw was the producer of the production.
