The new drummer for Linkin Park has denied that he is “replacing” A. Bourdon, Rob

In a recent live stream on Instagram, Colin Brittain discussed his transition into the role of drummer for Linkin Park following the departure of Rob Bourdon. “In case anyone is curious, I am not going to be taking over for Rob Bourdon. Nobody is being replaced by my way of thinking. We did not have that frame of mind when we set out to accomplish this task as a band. This was not a situation in which someone was being replaced. “This is simply a sign that we are making progress,” the musician stated.

In continuation of his views, he stated, “It is not an attempt to fill anybody’s shoes; rather, it is an attempt to add to what has already been built.” Rob is an incredible drummer, and he was a significant influence on my drumming. I am really grateful to him for that. Since this is the case, it would be unrealistic to attempt to replace someone like him.

I have a great deal of admiration and respect for Rob, Chester, and the band in general, as well as for everything that they have achieved up to this point. Therefore, there is no intention of attempting to quote, unquote, replace anyone, or do anything else. Not at all; that is not the point of this.”

In the wake of Bourdon’s departure from the band, Colin has assumed the role of drummer. The departure of Bourdon from the current lineup was discussed by Mike Shinoda in an interview with Billboard. Shinoda stated, “Rob had said to us at a point, I guess it was a few years ago now, that he wanted to put some distance between himself and the band.” And that was something that we were aware of; it was already obvious.”

In addition, Shinoda stated, “He was beginning to simply show up less and be in less contact, and I am aware that the fans noticed about it as well.” He did not appear for any of the releases, including the rerelease of “Hybrid Theory” and the release of “Papercuts.” Therefore, as a friend, I found it to be disheartening; nevertheless, at the same time, I intend for him to pursue whatever it is that brings him joy, and it is evident that everyone wishes him the best.

This is what Mike had to say about Brittain: “I immediately clicked with him.” “We have a similar way of looking at music, of starting from scratch, and I really enjoyed working with him and being able to bounce ideas back and forth with him,”

Not only that, but he also revealed, “I don’t know if any of these songs are going to be released, but we had done something with grandson, Bea Miller, and Sueco — just getting in the room together to make stuff.” And then, when Linkin Park began producing things, for whatever it was that we were going to do, it was something along the lines of, “Oh, Colin.” We’re working on something. You really ought to come over.'”

In recent times, Brittain has gained a reputation for being a well-known producer and songwriter. In addition to that, he has experience playing the drums. It was as a drummer for the band Oh No Fiasco that he began his career in the music industry. The band eventually signed with Five Seven Music and issued an extended play (EP) titled “No One’s Gotta Know.”
