Reissued on vinyl for the band’s anniversary, “Hackney Diamonds” is released by the Rolling Stones
Details on a special edition re-release of the Rolling Stones’ album “Hackney Diamonds” in 2023 have been released by the band on their official website. In October of the previous year, the legendary band issued their 24th studio album, which was their first collection of new material since the release of ‘A Bigger Bang’ in 2005. Guest appearances were made by Lady Gaga, Elton John, Paul McCartney, and Stevie Wonder, and the album featured the final recordings of Charlie Watts, the band’s drummer, who passed away before the album was released.
Now, in order to commemorate the one-year anniversary of the album’s release, a new double LP version on “clear blue splatter” vinyl has been made available. This edition includes seven live recordings from the record’s launch party in New York City in October of last year, one of which is titled “Sweet Sounds of Heaven” and features Lady Gaga.

“But if ‘Hackney Diamonds’ does round off the most successful career in rock music ever, it wouldn’t be a bad place to leave it,” the National Music Critics’ Association (NME) said in a review of the album “Hackney Diamonds,” which received four stars. A conclusion that is natural, yet in no way typical.”
In addition, Ronnie Wood discussed the “explosive” songs that were included on the album with NME, as well as how they would react when performed live. The faith that I have is unwavering. Does it make sense to you that we could play the entire album? However, [Mick and Keith] will come to the conclusion that “Oh no, Ron, that is so ambitious.” We are not going to overlook the previous years’ worth of work. Between April and July of this year, the Rolling Stones embarked on a North American tour titled “Hackney Diamonds,” which consisted of twenty dates.
Bill Wyman, a former bassist for the Rolling Stones, expressed his regret that he had left the band earlier than 1993 due to the fact that he, Watts, and Wood were only “scraping by” during the band’s tours in the 1980s and early 1990s. Wyman made this statement in October. A rendition of Gram Parsons’ “I Can’t Dance” was performed by Keith Richards, Emmylou Harris, and Steve Jordan, drummer for the Eagles, during the induction ceremony for the Country Music Hall of Fame in October. Another surprise performance was given by Keith Richards.
