Eminem, one of the most decorated and influential rappers in music history, has officially declared war on the Grammys — and this time, he’s not holding back.
In a fiery statement that’s gone viral, Slim Shady revealed exactly why he’ll never show up to the Grammy Awards again — no performances, no red carpets, no appearances.
“The Grammys is useless,” Eminem said bluntly. “I warned them never to put my name or invite me. They use famous people to promote their award and give it to people you can’t even imagine.”
The Detroit rapper, who has 15 Grammy wins under his belt, says he’s had enough of what he calls the “politics and favoritism” that dominate the award show. While he’s okay losing to greats like Kanye West or Kendrick Lamar, he’s stunned by losses to artists who, as he puts it, “don’t even have fans.”
And it’s not just about him. Em name-dropped Nicki Minaj, calling out the Recording Academy for never awarding her a Grammy despite her dominating an entire era of female rap:
“Nicki has no Grammys. Which female rapper is better than her? No one.”
This raw frustration echoes what many fans — and even fellow artists — have been saying for years: that the Grammys are out of touch, often ignoring true fan-favorite talent in favor of behind-the-scenes industry politics.
