Fast & Furious 11: New Release Date, Cast Rumors & Everything We Know So Far
The Fast & Furious franchise has always been known for high-octane action, globe-trotting storylines, and an ever-expanding ensemble cast. But fans looking forward to the next installment — Fast & Furious 11, also known as Fast X Part 2 — will need to buckle up for a bit longer. Initially slated for release in April 2025, the film has now been pushed back to 2026, and even that release window remains uncertain.
Delayed Again: When Will Fast & Furious 11 Actually Hit Theaters?
Universal Studios has yet to confirm a new official release date for Fast & Furious 11. While director Louis Leterrier had previously mentioned that filming would begin “early” in 2025, that hasn’t materialized. Instead, lead star Vin Diesel appears to be focusing on another project — Los Bandoleros 2, a follow-up to the 2009 short film that served as a prequel to Fast & Furious 4.
This delay in production has cast doubt on whether the film will even meet the rumored 2026 deadline, which was supposed to align with the 25th anniversary of the original movie, The Fast and the Furious, released on June 22, 2001. If Universal manages to pull things together, fans might see Fast & Furious 11 debut around that same date in June 2026 — but with filming still in limbo, it’s far from a sure thing.
