After Dave Grohl’s affair drama, it has been reported that Foo Fighters have aborted their tour plans for 2025

Ben Barbaud, the founder of Hellfest, has stated that Foo Fighters have decided to cancel their summer tour for the year 2025. During an interview with Le Parisien, Barbaud disclosed this information and explained that Muse will take the position of Foo Fighters as one of the four headliners of Hellfest. After the Foo Fighters decided to cancel their summer tour, he mentioned that Muse were willing to offer him a substitute position.

According to Barbaud, “They were presented to me in a pristine condition.” Approximately one month ago, I was presented with the opportunity to schedule them alongside a few other events in Europe. As a result of the cancellation of the summer tour by Foo Fighters, Muse was approached to provide additional support. I agreed to attend Hellfest since I was going to miss a headliner on Friday and because the audience is becoming more and more receptive to new experiences. I, too, have grown up and become less sectarian as I have become older.

In addition, he stated, “I founded this festival for the admiration of punk and hardcore music, and in the beginning, for the purists also.” To this day, however, I would rather surprise them than continue to work with the same artists.

At the end of their 2024 North American tour, Foo Fighters finished their performance on August 18 in Seattle, Washington. Shortly after that, in the beginning of September, frontman Dave Grohl posted a personal update on his Instagram account, in which he disclosed that he had fathered a child outside of his marriage and was attempting to regain the trust of his family.

Grohl made the following declaration in his statement: “I recently became the father of a new baby daughter, who was born outside of my marriage.” My intention is to be a parent that is both caring and helpful to her. My wife and my children are very important to me, and I am doing all in my power to win back their trust and earn their forgiveness on their behalf. We would like to express our appreciation for your thoughtfulness toward all of the children that are engaged as we go forward together.

Following the announcement, the band decided to withdraw from their scheduled appearance at the Soundside Music Festival. The official website of Foo Fighters does not currently contain any tour dates, and the cancelation of the 2025 tour was never made publically known to the public.
