Reunion rumors involving John 5 and Marilyn Manson have been sparked
The most recent post that John 5 made on Instagram sparked speculation of a Marilyn Manson reunion. “Happy birthday,” the guitarist said in the description of his post, which also included a few photographs and videos from the parties that were held in honor of Manson’s birthday. Some people voiced their disapproval of John 5’s encounter with Manson in the comment area. There were rumors that they were getting back together, and the others discussed them. One of the fans remarked, “Wow, this brings back memories. When will John 5 come back to the Marilyn Mansion?
“John, you are a member of the Manson family!” shouted another. “WOULD YOU PLEASE RETURN TO HIM!!” Someone else made a comment that read, “It would be incredible if you were to accompany him on the subsequent tour.” Another person made the observation, “Very disappointed John, thought you might have reevaluated this friendship/relationship,” and they were disappointed. In the year 1999, John 5 became a member of Manson after the latter asked him to take over the role of the former guitarist. In addition to his appearance at the MTV Video Music Awards, he was a member of the band and performed with them during their “Mechanical Animals” tour.
In an interview with That Fuzzing Rock Show from the previous year, the rocker described how Manson had given him the gig. He made the following statement: “Well, I was in a restaurant when I had a meeting with Marilyn Manson as well.” For some reason, as I sat down at this restaurant, I noticed that Manson was carrying around these CDs in his car. Specifically, he was carrying the David Lee Roth CD. He continued by saying, “I sat down with him, and he said, ‘I want you to join the band, and your name is going to be John 5, and I want to do everything with numbers,’ and like all this stuff.” I didn’t even have to go through the audition process, and I was like, ‘Okay.'” So it was like a frenzy.
Occasionally, John 5 will relate a few stories that he has heard from his time spent with Manson. During an interview with This Is The Worst Podcast in November 2024, he related a story about a time when the singer had become enraged with him because he had embarrassed him in front of girls. fooling around and scaring each other, the girls giggled when John 5 scared Manson.
