Unfortunately, Brian “Head” Welch has some bad news about the release date of the next Korn album

Brian ‘Head’ Welch made a veiled reference to an upcoming album by Korn in a recent interview with the Everblack podcast in Australia; however, the release date of the record is currently unknown. The answer is yes, we have a lot of stuff written down. After the release of the band’s album titled “Requiem” in 2022, the guitarist stated that the band is still currently working on writing songs for the new record.

He continued by saying, “Dude, it’s a trip thirty years later, man, to try to keep doing it to this day.” And despite the fact that we are really pleased with what we have, it is going to take time. But I have no idea how long it will be; it could be the following summer, it could be the following year, it could be the following winter; I have no idea, but it won’t be anytime soon. Welch has already announced Korn’s intentions for new songs, so this is not the first time he has done so. Earlier this year, the musician stated to WSOU 89.5 FM that they are “passionately and intensely working on new music.” It’s true that we’re a little bit behind…”

Brian went on to say, “I really enjoy the songs that we’ve worked on, but in terms of tone, I believe that we are capable of surpassing it.” Due to the fact that we are not working with any record company, we are devoting a significant amount of time and resources to the creation of this new music. Additionally, we are spending a significant amount of money on it.

It is really important to us to analyze our sound and to recall where we came from and how we performed in the past. I believe that it is the most impressive and substantial Korn material in recent years. In terms of sound and recording, as well as everything else, I believe that it is going to be raw and fundamental in nature. We are really very, very satisfied with where we are at right now,” Welch then mentioned. “I don’t want to give it all away,” he stressed.

Whether or not Fieldy, the bassist for Korn, will be included on the upcoming album is not yet known. It has been decided that Ra Díaz, who previously played bass for BillyBio and was a member of Suicidal Tendencies, has taken his place. In the year 2025, Korn will also perform at a number of festivals and as part of a special show with System of a Down in the state of Michigan.
