A farewell album with a Shady seal of approval. Cube exits, but not before lighting the torch. 🎤🧊
Ice Cube shocked the hip-hop world this month by announcing that his new album, “Final Draft,” will be his last.
And while fans are mourning the end of an era, there’s a powerful bright spot: Eminem makes a guest appearance—not in rhyme, but in tribute.
On the outro track, Cube includes a voice message from Eminem, where the Detroit rapper shares an emotional reflection:
“When I picked up the mic, I was chasing Cube. I’m still chasing him.”
The track, titled “Legacy Log-Out,” is part spoken word, part audio collage. It blends classic Cube lines with audio bites from peers like Dr. Dre, Nas, and of course—Eminem.
Cube explained in an interview:
“I didn’t want this to be a funeral. I wanted it to be a celebration. Em’s voice? That’s the future sending love back to the past.”
Eminem hasn’t confirmed whether this was his idea or Cube’s, but fans are praising the move as a rare show of humility in an industry ruled by ego.
The album has already been streamed over 200 million times, with “Legacy Log-Out” trending across platforms.
As Cube exits stage left, Eminem stands at the edge—holding the mic, ready to carry the legacy forward.
