Brian ‘Head’ Welch, the leader of Korn, asserts that rock music is not dead and is more powerful than it has ever been

Brian Welch, the lead singer of Korn, recently gave an interview to Loudwire in which he discussed the present status of rock and metal music. Rock music appears to be making a comeback that is more powerful than ever before.

This guitarist remarked that rock music is experiencing a period of great success. Every single person is doing so much better than they were even in the year 2021. In spite of the fact that Gojira has not yet participated in the Olympics, we are witnessing insanely high numbers and complete sellouts. We are receiving more headlining slots, and everything is going from strength to strength for Korn and a lot of other bands right now.

In spite of the fact that it is controversial, I absolutely adore that song. I’m watching Linkin Park coming back. I adore her voice combined with them. I saw all of these sellouts on their tour, and Slipknot is one of them. They are absolutely crushing it, Deftones. It is incredible to see [Limp Bizkit] in action. The rocker continued by saying, “Whenever they say rock is dead, just give it a couple of years after that, and it’s probably going to resurge because I find that when a lot of people say something, the opposite happens.” Due to the fact that Gojira performed at the opening ceremonies of this year’s Summer Olympics, the current status of metal music underwent a significant transformation.

“That was a pretty mystical moment, before it kicked in,” Duplantier offered his thoughts on what he felt right before Gojira launched ‘Mea Culpa (Ah! Ça Ira!)’ in an interview. He was referring to the moment when the song began playing. “I was thinking to myself, ‘What the heck am I doing when I’m in this place? What exactly is going on here? Will we soon be playing metal music on televisions all across the world? I cannot believe this.'”

The band Korn is grateful to Gojira for making it possible for them to sell out the majority of their performances at the moment. During a different interview, Welch stated, “We are selling so many tickets right now that it’s crazy.” “Like we’re averaging fifteen thousand to twenty thousand in the United States this summer. I am grateful to you, Gojira. There are a lot of sellouts in Europe, but that is the case with anything that we are doing. We are discussing some major festivals that will be the showcases of the following year. It’s just the way things are when you’re going through highs and lows. We have reached our highest point, and it has been a lot of fun. On September 12, Korn took the stage in Tampa, Florida, to kick off their tour alongside Gojira and Spiritbox. It is anticipated that the tour would come to a close on October 27 in St. Paul, Minnesota.
